Just as "Any Questions" is one of the best shows on radio, Newton would be pleased to know of the equal and opposite which is "Any Answers". On this week's show a caller (female, clipped accent) said:
"Well, 7/7 could have been prevented if, as soon as ricin was discovered, they'd shut down the mosques and interned the muslims..."
It's at this point my trusty radio flew across the bathroom and chipped a tile. But it was worth it for the silence.

I listen to Any Questions on the net every week. It makes me feel very homesick sometimes.I gave up listening to Any Answers when the started letting listeners phone in rather than just reading out their letters.
Quite apart from the (obvious) frustration with the bigotry behind this idea, I'm appalled yet fascinated by the kind of mind that thinks that rounding up and interring every Muslim in the country will reduce public terror...
well, quite. i believe they're called "concentration camps" these days.
"clipped accent" eh? I have my suspicions , but she's just bloody vile to everyone, she's not racist, or sexist or ageist just upper class and utterly obnoxious!
I bet she still can't quite understand why her husband is having an affair with a woman with a loud laugh and untidy hair.
